How much does IVDD (disc) surgery for dogs cost?
For a ruptured or bulging disc pressing on the spinal cord, Pawlicy Advisor publishes the surgery itself at $1,500–$4,000, the imaging needed to locate the disc at $1,000–$3,000, and the whole process — surgery, diagnostics and post-operative care — at $3,000–$8,000. The two operations are the dorsal hemilaminectomy, for discs along the back, and the ventral slot, for discs in the neck.

What drives the price
